Timeline for Admission Appeals for Foundation / Year 3 – September 2020

 Following national offer day of 16th April 2020, if you named Kents Hill Park School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.  The appeals timetable* for Kents Hill Park School for students starting school in Foundation (year R) or Year 3 in September 2020 will be as follows:

Monday, 18th May 2020 at 3pm: Deadline to request an appeal form

Wednesday, 20th May at 3pm: Deadline to lodge an appeal**

Week Commencing 15th June 2020: Appeal hearings will be held during this week. Appellants will be advised as to precise day and time by the clerk.

Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Kents Hill Park School, please email the admissions team at  [email protected] providing the name of the child, their date of birth and an email address where the appeal paperwork can be sent. Requests for appeal forms must be made by 3pm on Monday, 18th May 2020. 

Please note the School will be closed for the Easter holidays from the end of school on Friday 3rd April until it reopens on Monday 20th April. No appeals are processed during the school holidays.

*Please note it may not be possible to include within this timetable any appeals that are lodged after the deadline.

Timeline for Admission Appeals for Year 7 – September 2020

 Following national offer day of Monday 2nd March 2020, if you named Kents Hill Park School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.  Following the initialallocation of places for Year 7 in September 2020, all unsuccessful applicants will be sent a letter providing further details as to why it wasn’t possible to allocate a place. The appeals timetable* for Kents Hill Park School forstudents transferring to Year 7 in September 2020 will be as follows:

Monday, 30th March 2020 at 3pm: Deadline to request an appeal form 

Thursday 2nd April 2020 at 3pm: Deadline to lodge an appeal**  

Monday, 8th June 2020 late afternoon (precise time of hearing to be confirmed): Stage 1 hearing (all appellants are invited to attend)

Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June 2020: Stage 2 individual hearings (precise days/times to be advised by the Clerk)

In year admissions refer to applications made at any other time after the initial September entry into Year 3 or Year 7. Parents/Carers should be aware that Kents Hill Park School is an oversubscribedschool with more applicants than places available. Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.
