Year 3 Curriculum

World War Two

Our new topic will focus on how World War Two was experienced by children, especially those who were evacuated. As Geographers, we will study the geography of the war to understand what made it a ‘world’ war. As Historians, we will explore life on the home front, including the Blitz, the Battle of Britain and rationing. We are also looking forward to celebrating our love of reading on World Book Day on Thursday 4th March. For our Marvellous Middle, we hope to speak with an evacuee, who will share their experiences with the class. For our Fabulous Finish we will share our virtual ‘Wartime Museum’ where we will be showcasing our work from the half term.
