Mr John Kennedy

Teacher of Languages

I was born and raised by Irish parents in the city of Tarragona, on the north-east coast of Spain. This enabled me to grow up speaking English, Spanish and Catalan simultaneously and kick-started my love for languages! I started learning French when I was 11 and a few years later at the age of 15, I decided to move to Northern Ireland to continue my education. Whilst there, I went on to complete a BA in French and Spanish at Queen’s University Belfast, being fortunate enough to enjoy a year abroad in Lyon, France.

Following my degree, I completed my PGCE in Modern Languages at the University of Oxford.I am delighted to be joining the Modern Languages Department at Kents Hill Park. I believe that learning a language can be extremely beneficial, and I really look forward to sharing my passion for languages and inspiring students whilst teaching at the school.

Outside of school, I love to travel, watch and play football and spend time with family and friends.
