Mrs Katie Rumsey

Year 3- Dahl Class Teacher

I spent my childhood in Milton Keynes and loved growing up here. I have a huge interest in the performing arts and completed a BTEC in Performing Arts before studying a degree in Drama at the University of Exeter. As part of my degree, I worked with a number of schools, teaching young people to perform throughout primary and secondary, and decided that I would love to be a teacher. I stayed at the University of Exeter to complete my PGCE and completed placements in Penzance, Cornwall. After I completed my PGCE, I decided to move to London to teach for two years, before moving back to Milton Keynes to be closer to my family.

I love teaching as I believe school is such an important part of growing up, and to know I can help to make it a positive experience for children is a great feeling.

When I am not in school, I like to keep busy and spend my time upside-down in an aerial hoop, climbing and lifting weights in the gym. I also enjoy baking and cooking and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I love to travel to new places and will take up any opportunity to see the world!
