Mrs Jeannette Van Oijen

Teaching Assistant

After 22 years in different secondary schools I enjoy using my experience and nurturing attitude to help students overcome any barriers to their learning.

I have worked in a school in the Netherlands for 16 years (in different roles) where I gained a lot of experience working with vulnerable students.

My work life began in administration, and after two years I started to teach typing to KS4 students, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then decided to become a Teaching assistant, so I could support students in a variety of subjects. 5½ years ago my husband and I moved to the UK, to start a new adventure where I worked at a local secondary school.

I am now very happy and excited to be part of the Kents Hill Park family.

I have a 30-year-old daughter who lives in the Netherlands with her family, including my two gran kitties.Outside of my school life, I enjoy visiting National Trust houses, watching TV series and playing with my 3 cats.
