Mr Jamie Risebrow
Teacher of Maths, Head of Year 8
I have been teaching for 6 years as a Maths teacher and PE teacher after studying for a teaching degree at the University of Bedfordshire. I have been involved in a pastoral role for the past 3 years in a variety of roles as a Head of House, Head of Key Stage and as part of a school’s Senior Leadership Team. I feel very privileged to become part of the Maths and Pastoral team at Kents Hill Park School and play a role in building a legacy of giving local pupils fantastic opportunities in and beyond school.
I am extremely passionate about the pastoral care of pupils and the importance of ensuring high standards of behaviour for learning in school. I have a love for maths and its importance in opening up avenues for further education and for future employment for children as they make the journey through secondary school.
Outside of school I am a keen sportsman. I like to get competitive when playing all sports but play football and rugby on a weekly basis. When not playing I like to go to the gym or watch sport on the television. If I am not watching or playing sport I love to spend time with friends and family, particularly on my in-laws’ local farms.
