Miss Danielle Wood
Teacher of Art
My passions from a young age have always been drawing, painting and generally being creative; it is hard to pick one specific area as I enjoy it all. In 2009, I went to Northampton University to study Illustration. This was a fantastic course and allowed me to learn and experience many different forms of Art and Design.
Being a teacher is something I have always wanted to do and working in education runs in my family. I trained to become an Art Teacher at Icknield High School in 2015. Following this, for the last three years I have taught at a school in Bedfordshire teaching both Art and Textiles. During my time there, I was able to create and implement new, unique and engaging projects. I find it incredibly motivating and enjoyable encouraging my pupils to develop their own
ideas, express their opinions and further their creative skills.
I feel very privileged to have this new role; it is exciting to be joining a brand new, all-through school. I am looking forward to the new opportunities it will offer, to passing on my passion for my subject and getting to know all of the pupils.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like to be active, going for walks, running, travelling and, of course, creating Art.
