Dr Francesco De Luca

Teacher of Science

I have been passionate about science since I read about Einstein and his theory of relativity and quarks as a child. I went to a highly chemistry-focused high school and studied nuclear physics at university. I started teaching all science subjects in one-to-one lessons and computer science at school.

The reason I like teaching is that “if you educate a child, you will not punish an adult (Pythagoras).” I’ve always wanted to come to England to improve my language but I fell madly in love with the English style when I discovered the phrase “manners maketh man” written on a wall in Oxford University.

In my free time I do swimming or boxing and as a hobby I play chess. I love Cuban salsa dancing: “if you don’t find me doing science, look for me in a dance hall”.
