Year 3 Curriculum
World War Two
Our new topic will focus on how World War Two was experienced by children, especially those who
were evacuated. As Geographers, we will study the geography of the war to understand what made it
a ‘world’ war. As Historians, we will explore life on the home front, including the Blitz, the Battle of
Britain and rationing. We are also looking forward to celebrating our love of reading on World Book
Day on Thursday 7th March. For our Marvellous Middle, we will be visiting Holdenby House in order
to experience the hardships of life in 1942. The children will be immersed in wartime life and will be
able to apply their learning first-hand. A letter will follow shortly.
Manners Curriculum
Excellent manners are extremely important. Each week we will focus on strengthening a different social skill.
