Admission Appeals Hearings: Update
In light of the current situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, we are reviewing the arrangements for the admission appeal hearings scheduled for the summer term.
We can confirm that admission appeal hearings will still take place. Please continue to work towards the dates already published. If social distancing measures remain in place, alternative arrangements will be put in place for the hearings to proceed. The Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel will be in contact with parent/carers in due course to provide further information and guidance.

Year 7 September 2020
Applications need to be completed via the Citizen Portal on Milton Keynes Council’s website by midnight on 31st October 2019. National offer day for those applications received on time will be Monday, 2nd March 2020. Please refer to Milton Keynes Council website for further details
Timeline for Admission Appeals for Year 7 – September 2020
Following national offer day of Monday 2nd March 2020, if you named Kents Hill Park School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel. Following the initialallocation of places for Year 7 in September 2020, all unsuccessful applicants will be sent a letter providing further details as to why it wasn’t possible to allocate a place. The appeals timetable* for Kents Hill Park School forstudents transferring to Year 7 in September 2020 will be as follows:
Monday, 30th March 2020 at 3pm: Deadline to request an appeal form*
Thursday 2nd April 2020 at 3pm: Deadline to lodge an appeal**
Monday, 8th June 2020 late afternoon (precise time of hearing to be confirmed): Stage 1 hearing (all appellants are invited to attend)
Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, and Friday 12th June 2020: Stage 2 individual hearings (precise days/times to be advised by the Clerk)
Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Kents Hill Park School, please email the admissions team at email@example.com providing the name of the child, their date of birth and an email address where the appeal paperwork can be sent. Requests for appeal forms must be made by 3pm on Monday, 30th March 2020.
*Please note it may not be possible to include within this timetable any appeals that are lodged after the deadline.
**This is the deadline by which the completed appeal form must be received by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel. Parents who are offered a place at the school will receive a welcome pack by the end of May which will contain lots of helpful information.
